Ho named to CSC Academic All-District Team

MADISON, Wis. – Sophomore golfer Vanessa Ho earned recognition as part of the 2023 Academic All-District Women’s At-Large Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators.

The award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom.

Ho, a psychology major, is a UW Athletic Board Scholar representing the person with the highest grade-point average in her sport. Boasting a 3.733 grade-point average as of last fall, she is also anticipated to earn her first Big Ten Academic All-Big Ten honor later this month as a Badger in her first year eligible.

Ho has played in all 21 tournaments in her career as a Badger in the team’s starting lineup and currently holds Wisconsin’s lowest career season average with 74.02 on the active team. She was the Badgers leading finisher in four tournaments and also set career low records for 18 holes at 69 and tied her career low 54-hole record at 217.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 21 (men) and June 22 (women).
