Virginia Athletics | Cleary Earns CSC Academic All-District At-Large Honors

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – UVA women’s golfer Jennifer Cleary was one of nine Cavaliers representing five sports who were named Academic All-District Team at-large honorees as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) it was announced by the organization on Tuesday (May 23).

An All-ACC performer in 2022-23, Cleary received the honor for the first time.

Four other student-athletes also represented Virginia on the women’s side with Adele Iacobucci and Annie McDonough of field hockey, and Maggie Bostain and Mackenzie Hoeg of lacrosse earning spots on the list.

Four student-athletes were selected to the men’s All-District team with Justin McCoy of the wrestling team, and Cole Kastner, Grayson Sallade and Connor Shellenberger of lacrosse representing the Cavaliers.

To be eligible for selection a student-athlete must have a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and be in at least their second year at their current institution and they must be a starter or important reserve who has played in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests. Graduate transfers in their first year of competition at an institution are eligible if they had an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 and also have at least a 3.5 grade point average in graduate school.
