PISCATAWAY, N.J. (June 26, 2023) – A record 216 Rutgers student-athletes were recognized by the Big Ten as Spring 2023 Academic All-Conference on Monday to elevate the Scarlet Knights’ 2022-23 total to 375 honorees, after 45 and 114 were selected in the winter and fall, respectively.
Among the honorees are 14 four-time selections, 58 three-time honorees and 121 repeat selections.
Andy Axelson and Garrett French from baseball both earned their fourth honors. Eric Civetti, Ethan Rall, Bobby Russo and David Sprock all represented men’s lacrosse with their fourth honors as well. The women’s lacrosse duo of Riley Ban and Marin Hartshorn were both honored for the fourth time, as were Maeve Rossi (women’s golf), Gabriele Bagdonas (women’s rowing), Katie Wingert (softball), Will Berger (men’s track and field), Angela Kearsely (women’s track and field) and Reanda Richards (women’s track and field).
Additionally, 11 Scarlet Knights earned a perfect 4.0 GPA, which was tied for the most in the conference.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students-athletes must have been enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
