COLLEGE PARK, MD — The Maryland men’s golf team released its 2023-24 competition schedule Tuesday. The Terrapins will compete in four fall events and seven in the spring season.
“I am really happy with the schedule we put together this year,” head coach John Phillips said. “We will compete at six venues who have either hosted or currently host professional tournaments. This schedule will give our student athletes a great opportunity to see how their games stand up against the professional level. We will compete in seven different states or territories, so our student athletes will be able to experience a variety of playing conditions and visit some incredible places.”
Maryland will open its 2023-24 slate at the Chicago Highlands Invitational at the Chicago Highland Club in Westchester, Ill. September 18-19.
The Terps will play in three tournaments in the month of October, beginning with the Badger Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin, at the University Ridge Golf Course in Verona, Wisc. October 1-3. Two weeks later, the Terrapins will compete in the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational October 15-16 at the Quail Valley Golf Club in Vero Beach, Fla.
Maryland will close the fall season at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate at the Daniel Island Club in Charleston, S.C. October 29-31.
The Terrapins will open their spring competition schedule February 5-6 at the Battle at Briar’s Creek at The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek in Johns Island, S.C.
The Terps will travel to Puerto Rico February 25-27 to compete in the Dorado Beach Collegiate at TPC Dorado Beach in Dorado, Puerto Rico.
Maryland will head back to South Carolina to play in the Cleveland Palmetto Classic at the Palmetto Golf Club March 4-5. Later in March, the Terrapins will compete in the Landfall Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Landfall (Nicklaus Course) in Wilmington, N.C. March 24-25.
The Terps will compete three times in April. To start the month, they will compete in the Lewis Chitengwa Memoria, hosted by Virginia, at the Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville, Va. April 8-9.
Maryland will play in the Robert Kepler Invitational, hosted by Ohio State, at the Ohio State University Golf Club Scarlet Course April 19-21.
The Big Ten Championships will be held April 26-28 at the Scioto Country Club in Columbus, Ohio.
