FRANKLIN, Tenn. – All five Bruins on the UCLA women’s golf team shot under par to fire a tournament-low 15-under 273 in round three of the Mason Rudolph Championship at Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course on Sunday.
The Bruins ascended four spots on the leaderboard into eighth, finishing 6-under 858 for the tournament. UCLA’s 15-under 273 mark is the fifth lowest 18-hole score in program history and best since 2018.
“For the past two rounds, our team was right on the cusp of shooting a low score,” said head coach Alicia Um Holmes. “I am so pleased that they were able to stick to their process goals and convert their putts today. To shoot the lowest round of the entire tournament, in this field, says a lot about our players. So excited about what’s to come.”
UCLA’s golfers skyrocketed up the individual leaderboards a combined 106 spots on day three. The Bruins totaled just five bogeys in the final round.
Shooting UCLA’s lowest individual round for the second day in a row was sophomore Meghan Royal who recorded a bogey-free, 5-under 67. Once again, Royal was the biggest riser jumping 29 total spots into a three-way tie for 20th (-3). It was the first top 20 finish of her career.
Rising 27 spots on day three was Alessia Nobilio thanks to a 4-under 68 which tied her former career low. Nobilio sunk six total birdies. She tied for 28th at 1-under for the tournament.
Zoe Antoinette Campos returned to form with a bogey-free, 4-under 68. Her performance moved her 17 placements into a tie for 47th.
