One of the nation’s elite golfers this season, University of Missouri senior Jack Lundin was named to the 2023-2024 Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel Spring Watch List, announced by Golfweek and Golf Channel on Monday.
Celebrating its 54th year, the Haskins Award is annually given to the top male U.S. collegiate golfer as voted on by only college golfers, coaches and members of the golf media. Past winners of the award have captured 33 major championships and more than 400 professional tournaments around the world.
Lundin is one of 15 golfers in the nation – and 1-of-9 from the SEC – named to Monday’s watch list.
Enjoying his most productive season of his career, Lundin owns a 69.67 stroke average during 21 rounds this season. Currently ranked No. 18 nationally, the senior has collected four top-five finishes in seven tournaments this season with 16 rounds under par. A two-time SEC Golfer of the Week, Lundin has led Mizzou in 5-of-7 tournaments this season, finishing among the team’s top two in all seven.
Lundin is the first Tiger to be named to the Haskins Watch List since current PGA Tour member Hayden Buckley earned the honor in 2017-18.
The Tigers are currently in action at the Colleton River Collegiate with the first two rounds scheduled for Monday followed by the final round of action on Tuesday.
