COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland men’s golf alum, Peter Knade advanced out of the U.S. Open local qualifying yesterday at Westwood Country Club in St. Louis.
Knade, a native of Easton, Md., shot a 2-under 68 to share a two-way claim of fourth place and one of six spots that moved on to final qualifying. He’ll have a chance to continue his path to this year’s U.S. Open at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club from June 13-16. Final qualifying takes place at 13 sites throughout the U.S. on May 20 and June 3.

Knade played for the Terrapins from 2017-2020 and earned All-Big Ten honors in 2019 and 2020.
