2022-23 Schedule Set for Purdue Women’s Golf

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. –  After finishing the 2021-22 campaign at the NCAA Championships, Purdue Women’s Golf is prepared to continue the positive momentum under head coach Zack Byrd. The Boilermakers’ new leader announced a challenging, yet exciting, schedule for the 2022-23 season.

“We are extremely excited to announce such a strong schedule during our first year as a coaching staff,” said Byrd. “Coach Lauren and I wanted to play the strongest competition possible to be prepared for postseason. This team is eager to play in some incredible fields and compete on exclusive country clubs this season. Boiler Up!”

The Boilermakers are set to travel the country, playing in 10 different states throughout the season. Purdue begins the fall by traveling south for the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship (Sept. 19-20), hosted by Tennessee. Following the season-opening tournament, the Boilermakers head to Illinois for back-to-back weeks. Purdue returns to the Windy City Collegiate Classic (Oct. 3-4) for the ninth straight season, with this year’s event taking place at Exmoor Country Club. Another familiar venue, Medinah Country Club hosts the Boilermakers for the Illini Invitational (Oct. 10-11).

Purdue ends the fall in traditional fashion, traveling to Wilmington, North Carolina for the Landfall Invitational (Oct. 28-30). The Boilermakers have wrapped up every fall season there since 2011.

After a few months off and flipping the calendar to 2023, Purdue begins the spring championship campaign with the Tulane Classic (Feb. 12-14) in New Orleans. One week later, the Boilermakers make the trek west for The Show (Feb. 20-21) in Las Vegas.

March features a southern swing of two tournaments. Purdue goes to Florida State for the FSU Match Up (March 17-19) before remaining down south and participating in the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at Georgia (March 24-26).

A weekend in Oklahoma kicks off the month of April, as the Boilermakers compete in The Bruzzy Challenge at Dornick Hills Country Club (April 1-2). In the final tune-up before the conference championship, Purdue tees off at the Lady Buckeye Invitational in Columbus, Ohio (April 15-16).

For the second straight year, the Big Ten Championship takes place in Pittsburgh at Fox Chapel Golf Club (April 21-23). Completing the 11-tournament slate,…
