Migros Golfpark Holzhäusern is the host venue of this week’s VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open and it also the home of Golfclub Ennetsee, where they have more than 120 junior players.
There is a range in ability amongst the juniors and they are split into 10 different groups – each with a colour assigned to them – that match their ability and they can access some lessons and training through the academy.
For those players who are at the top end, who want to do more than play golf and are thinking about it for their future, the academy offers training sessions in the fitness centre as well as the golf sessions.
While Swiss Golf are also involved with the club to allow those juniors who want to develop their game to the highest level and give them a pathway, so that they can get the most of their game.
One such junior from the club is Elena Moosmann, who finished in a tie for third place at the 2021 edition of the tournament, and has come through the ranks at Golfclub Ennetsee. The 20-year-old has also been part of the On Your Marks programme in canton Zug which has meant she has been able to access the high-performance centre.
As part of the Ladies European Tour’s (LET) and Titleist’s commitment to women’s golf and in the spirit of the LET’s mantra, #RaiseOurGame, both organisations will be donating the tournament’s market leading Pro V1 golf balls used on the practice range to juniors in support of the ongoing development of golf in Switzerland.
The donated balls will be used throughout the year at junior camps and in training sessions to ensure that the juniors can work with the best equipment and raise their game.
