The first two rounds on Monday were held on a perfect, sun-splashed day at the difficult Kampen Course. Only two teams and seven individuals recorded under-par rounds on the tournament’s first day.

The Boilermakers totaled a 36-hole tally of 3-over par 579 (287-292), sitting in third place behind No. 7-ranked Tennessee at 13-under par 563 (286-277) and national power LSU at 1-under par 575 (293-282). Little Rock is in fourth at 4-over par 564, while Indiana is fifth at 10-over par 586.

Herman Sekne continued his outstanding play, shooting a two-round total of 5-under par 139 (70-69) to finish day one in a tie for second. His 69 in the second round marked his third round already this season in 60s (out of seven rounds) and his 14th career round in the 60s. He enters tomorrow’s final round having posted back-to-back top-10 finishes in his first two events this season.

Sekne is five shots behind the 36-hole leader, Tennessee’s Bryce Lewis at 10-under par 134 (68-66).
