BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men’s golf team tied for 13th at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate hosted by East Tennessee State, Sunday-Tuesday, at the par 72, 7,147-yard Blackthorn Club.
The Hokies carded an 880 (293-293-294) over the 54-hole event. Cincinnati mounted a strong back nine on Tuesday to overtake Missouri and ETSU for the team title. The Bearcats fired a 30-under 834 to edge the Tigers by four shots. ETSU took third at 20-under 844.
Kobe Valociek and Daniel Azallion led Tech by tying for 44th at 3-over 219. Azallion played the par-5s in 7-under-par.
Kieron van Wyk of College of Charleston and Jack Lundin of Missouri tied for medalist honors at 13-under 203.
