Deng Shoots Third-Lowest Score Of Round Two At Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. – The Washington women’s golf team finished the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate in 12th place Saturday at Stanford Golf Course. Only 11 strokes separate fourth place from 13th.
 
Junior Stefanie Deng turned in a terrific round to lead the UW, carding five birdies and two bogies for a 3-under 68, the third-lowest score of the day. Deng is tied for 12th at 1-under for the tournament, which concludes Sunday.
 
Camille Boyd and Brittany Kwon each shot 3-over 74s on Saturday. They’re both 3-over for the tournament as well, good for a tie for 36th in the 100-woman field.
 
Rounding out the UW scores were Winnie Ng, who shot a 77 in round two, and freshman Carmen Lim, who carded a 76.
 
Round three gets underway Sunday morning.
