LAS VEGAS – The Washington State women’s golf team concluded its second tournament of the spring Tuesday, Feb. 21, as the Cougars wrapped up their stay in at The Show in Las Vegas in 15th place on the team leaderboard.

WSU had a pair of golfers post a top-60 finish at The Show. Freshman Emiko Sverduk finished in a tie for 59th at the tournament, carding a team-best 12-over 228 over three rounds of play at Spanish Trail Country Club. Meanwhile, sophomore Madelyn Gamble ended The Show in a tie for 60th, as she was one stroke behind Sverduk at 13-over 229. Gamble paced the Cougars through Tuesday’s third round at The Show, as the Pleasant Hill, California native carded 2-over 74 to move up 13 slots on the player leaderboard in her final round of play.

Washington State finished The Show in 15th place, as the Cougars posted rounds of 302-303-312 to end the tournament at 53-over 917.

No. 6-ranked Mississippi State won the team title at The Show, as the Bulldogs carded 9-under 855 to post a two-stroke victory over No. 30 Pepperdine. New Mexico’s Myah McDonald captured the tournament’s individual title after shooting 9-under 207 over her three rounds of play at Spanish Trail Country Club.

Washington State will take a week away from competition before jumping back into action March 6-7 for the Juli Inkster Meadow Club Invitational.
