BANDON, Ore. – Junior Jaden Cantafio sits inside the top-10 after 18 holes of play at the 2023 Bandon Dunes Championship, as the Tustin, California native ended the first round in a tie for eighth on the individual leaderboard.

Cantafio carded 2-over; 74 in the first round at the 2023 Bandon Dunes Championship to end his day in a tie for eighth. The junior collected the second-most birdies in the first round, shooting even par on 13 of his 18 holes in the round. Cantafio also finished the first day of the tournament with the second-best par-4 score, shooting 1-under on par-4 holes.

Washington State ended the first round of the Bandon Dunes Championship in 16th on the team leaderboard. The Cougars cared 26-over; 314 playing in less-than-ideal conditions at the Bandon Dunes Golf Course.

Boise State holds a three-stroke lead over No. 28 Oregon at the end of the first day of the Bandon Dunes Championship. The Broncos carded 8-over; 296 as team through their first 18 holes of play. Oregon’s Owen Avrit and Fresno State’s Joseph Lloyd are tied for first on the player leaderboard at the end of the first round, as each golfer carded 2-under 70 on the first day of play.

The second round of the 2023 Bandon Dunes Championship gets underway this Monday, March 13. Tee time is set for 8:30 a.m. PT and will feature a shotgun start. Fans can follow all the action at the Bandon Dunes Championship on GolfStat.com.
