RALEIGH – The NC State women’s golf team returns to action on Monday, Mar. 13 for the penultimate contest of its regular season at the Briar’s Creek Invitational hosted by College of Charleston.

Held at the Golf Club at Briar’s Creek in Johns Island, S.C., the Wolfpack competed in the event last season and came home with a seventh place finish out of 17 participants.

The Pack began its spring campaign with an impressive start, posting its highest finish of the season at the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club by rounding out the week in fifth place. The squad then posted program-record scores of both 18-hole and 54-hole totals during the ICON Invitational hosted by Houston.

NC State last competed Mar. 4-5 at the Gator Invitational at the Mark Bostick Golf Club in Gainesville, Fla., where they finished in a tie for 12th place.

Head coach Page Marsh will bring five competitors to the Golf Club at Briar’s Creek, with Lauren Olivares Leon, Natalie Armbruester, Vania Simont, and Isabel Amezcua continuing their streak of having competed in every tournament for the Wolfpack this season. Additionally, Caitlin Whitehead will be making her NC State debut, having recently joined the program prior to the spring season.

Live stats will be made available throughout the tournament’s entirety on GolfStat.com, with 36 holes set to begin on Monday with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start, while the final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday beginning at the same time.
