HOUSTON, Texas – Redshirt junior Jake Hall shot 7-under on the day to hold a share of the individual lead in the 108-man field and the 14th-ranked Tennessee men’s golf team is tied for second place entering through two rounds at the All-American Intercollegiate.

The Vols were 2-under as a team on Monday—even par in round one and 2-under in round two—with four par or better counting rounds.

Hall carded a 4-under score in round one that included an eagle and three birdies. The Knoxville native continued his momentum into round two and produced five more birdies en route to a 3-under 69.

In addition to Hall, Caleb Surratt also provided two contributing rounds. The true freshman shot even-par in round one, and logged a 1-under 71 to close out the second round. Surratt sits tied for 11th place entering Tuesday and has now registered 15 rounds of par or better during the 2022-23 season.

Three strokes behind Surratt is Bryce Lewis, who shot a pair of contributing 1-over 73s in both rounds to get to 2-over for the tournament. The redshirt junior is tied for 28th place after two rounds.

Lance Simpson posted a two-round total of 4-over, including a round two 73. The redshirt freshman enters day two tied for 44th place.
