Kuehn Named ACC Women’s Golfer of the Month

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest senior Rachel Kuehn has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Women’s Golfer of the Month after her individual title at the Valspar Augusta Invitational and the team’s record-breaking fifth regular season title.

Kuehn took home her sixth collegiate title at the Valspar Augusta Invitational in March with a score of 134, 10 strokes under par. She opened the event with a four-under 68 and followed it up with a six-under 66 in the second round. Both rounds were played in one day and the final round was canceled due to weather. Kuehn’s 10 under helped the Deacs’ win their program-record fifth team title of the regular season.

After wrapping up the season at the Valspar, Kuehn and fellow teammates Carolina Chacarra and Emilia Migliaccio competed in the 2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur. It was Migliaccio’s fourth time at the event and the third time for Chacarra and Kuehn.

The Deacs are back in action at the ACC Championships April 13-16 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro. The 2022 ACC Champions will look to defend their title and make a run in the postseason as the No. 1-ranked team in the Golfweek standings and the No. 2-ranked team in the Golfstat rankings.
