Badgers tied for fourth after first round of Big Ten Championship


PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Wisconsin women’s golf has completed the first round of play at the 2023 Big Ten Championship, finishing the day 10-over par and tied for fourth place. 

Emily Lauterbach leads the Badgers after the first 18 holes, shooting a two-under 69. Latuerbach is currently tied for first place. 

Friday, April 21

Round 1

Wisconsin started the tournament off strong, carding a 295 to end the day tied for fourth place.

Lauterbach led the pack, tying for first place after shooting a two-under par. She finished the round with two-straight birdies to push herself ahead.  Alexia Siehl also cracked the top-10, carding a one-over 72 to tie for 10th. Siehl tallied a team-leading four birdies in the opening round. 

Vanessa Ho shot a five-over par, while Chloe Chan, Carly Carter and Gia Feliciano rounded out the lineup at seven-over par.
