USC Men's Golf Chirravuri Continues to Thrive in the Pac-12 Tournament

Men’s Golf | April 29, 2023

STANFORD, Calif. – Freshman Mahanth Chirravuri continued to carry the USC men’s golf team at the Pac-12 Championships as he carded a 69 to put him even after 54-holes in two days at the 2023 Pac-12 Men’s Golf Championship at Stanford (Calif.) G.C. on Saturday (Apr. 29).

The Trojans finished the first three rounds in 11th place at 18-over, 1068, in the six-play, five-count format. Colorado and Washington, at 17-under, 1033, are the leaders two days into the tournament but are followed by a slew of teams, as Arizona State and Stanford are tied at 15-under, 1035.

Chirravuri is currently first on USC, as he posted a back-and-forth round that finished one under (69) for the day. The freshman parred eight of the nine holes on the back nine and added one birdie. At the same time, he stayed even on the front with two birdies and two bogies. His one-under status put him even for the tournament, which ranked him tied for 27th place at the end of the day.

Three Trojans posted an Eagle in the outing, as senior Parker Sisk picked up the first of the evening on the par five, No. 16. Graduate student Jack Boulger eagled the par five, No. 1 and sophomore Gavin Aurilia eagled the par five, No. 7.

Sophomore Jackson Rivera sits second on the squad and is tied for 37th overall, as he is three-over for the tournament and posted a two-over day.

Boulger, who is five-over for the tournament, was even for the day and sits tied for 46th.

Junior Krando Nishiba is currently seven-over after three rounds, as he followed his five-over day yesterday with an improved two-over outing. Sisk is right behind the junior, as he is eight over for the tournament and finished four over for the day. Aurilia finishes it out for the Trojans with an 11-over overall status, as he posted a seven-over third round.

The final round of the Pac-12 Championships begins tomorrow, as the Trojans will start teeing off at 8:42 a.m. and send off the last person onto the course at 9:42 a.m.
