Biondi will make his professional debut at the Korn Ferry Tour BMW Charity Pro-AM this weekend.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida men’s golfer Fred Biondi announced Monday morning that he will be turning professional and will make his debut at the Korn Ferry Tour BMW Charity Pro-AM this weekend.

The Gator capped off his collegiate career by winning the NCAA Individual Championship and clinching the match-clinching point for the team national championship over Georgia Tech.. He became the third Florida golfer to win medalist honors at nationals and led UF to its fifth national title. It marked the second time in program history Florida swept both titles and the second time in 22 years; Nick Gilliam in 2001.

Biondi finished ranked No. 2 in the final PGA Tour U Rankings joining teammates Ricky Castillo, who placed No. 9 and Yuxin Lin a spot behind at No. 10.

The finish inside the top-5 earns Biondi fully exempt Korn Ferry Tour membership for 2023, as well as an exemption to Final Stage of 2023 PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry – where the top five finishers and ties earn PGA TOUR cards – and the ability to accept unlimited PGA TOUR sponsor exemptions for the remainder of 2023 and 2024.
