The Ladies European Tour (LET) returns to Scotland this week for the FREED GROUP Women’s Scottish Open Presented by Trust Golf.
It is the next stop on the schedule and Dundonald Links is the host venue once again, as it was in 2022.
Before the tournament gets underway, here are a few points to look out for…
Major champions in town
The four players who have won the first four majors of the year are all in the field for the FREED GROUP Women’s Scottish Open.
Celine Boutier (The Amundi Evian Championship) is joined by Lilia Vu (The Chevron Championship), Ruoning Yin (KPMG Women’s PGA Championship) and Allisen Cropuz (U.S. Women’s Open).
Boutier heads here on a high
Celine Boutier’s dream came true last week after she was able to win the 2023 Amundi Evian Championship in her home country of France.
The Frenchwoman heads to Scotland riding a wave of confidence and form, but is also familiar with the golf course having finished as a runner-up in 2022.
Furue looking to defend
Last year Japan’s Ayaka Furue fired a phenomenal final round of 62 (-10) to storm to a three-shot victory at Dundonald Links.
It was the Japanese player’s first victory on the LPGA Tour and she is returning this year hoping to successfully defend her title.
Scots hoping to put on a show
No fewer than seven Scottish players will be teeing it up at Dundonald Links this week and they will all be hoping to put in a good performance for the home fans.
Gemma Dryburgh, who comes into the week off the back of an eighth-place finish at Evian, and she is also joined by Louise Duncan, Heather Macrae, Michele Thomson, Kylie Henry, Laura Beveridge and Pamela Pretswell Asher
More points on offer
With it being a co-sanctioned event, there are more points on offer in the 2023 Race to Costa del Sol and the 2023 Solheim Cup points list.
This week the winner would receive 750 points on the Race to Costa del Sol while in terms of Solheim Cup, the winner would receive 60 points.
