Sheehan Pacing Penn State Through Second Round of Marquette Intercollegiate


Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills Day Two Results
 
ERIN, Wis. – Graduate student Patrick Sheehan is in the top 15 to lead Penn State through the first two rounds of the Marquette Intercollegiate as the second of three rounds concluded Monday at Erin Hills.
 
The Nittany Lions are tied for 10th in the team race. Penn State finished the second round at 14-over, 302, and now sits at 32-over, 608, through the first two rounds.
 
Sheehan had Penn State’s best showing of the day Monday, shooting a 1-over, 73. He is tied for 12th heading into Tuesday’s final round at 3-over, 147.
 
Graduate student Jimmy Meyers shot a 2-over, 74, in the second round and now sits tied for 52nd at 10-over, 154, through two rounds. Meyers’ 74 Monday was a six-stroke improvement from his opening round score Sunday. Senior James Allen is tied for 58th at 11-over, 155, after carding a 7-over, 79, Monday.
 
Junior Jake Griffin saw an eight-stroke improvement in the second round, finishing Monday’s round at 4-over, 76. Griffin is in 73rd place at 17-over, 161, heading into Tuesday’s final 18 holes. Freshman Robby O’Regan shot a 15-over, 87, Monday and is tied for 75th at 19-over, 163.
 
The third and final round of the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills is set for Tuesday, with tee times beginning at 9 a.m. ET. Live scoring is available HERE.
