ALPHARETTA, Ga. – The Washington men’s golf team looks to keep up its strong run of play over the weekend, competing in the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Georgia Tech University Oct. 13-15.

Continuing its run of strong tests to start the season, the No. 7 Huskies will once again be facing elite competition, including six participants from the 2023 NCAA Championship in No. 11 ETSU, No. 12 Georgia Tech, No. 21 Texas A&M, No. 25 Virginia, Duke and Pepperdine.

“The is a really strong field here again and this is a great way for us to finish out our fall season,” head coach Alan Murray said. “We are looking forward to the challenge and another chance to test ourselves against some of the best teams in college golf.

The Dawgs will look to cap the fall with a fourth-consecutive top-three finish, taking third in the Sahalee Players Championship and Blessings Collegiate Invitational and claiming the team title at the Husky Invitational.

The tournament will be held on the Lakeside course at the Golf Club of Georgia, a par-72 course at 7,092 yards. The first two rounds will feature 18 holes with fixed pairings teeing off on holes one and ten, with the final round repairing based on 36-hole scores.

“You have to proceed with caution from time to time but I think it’s a course that guys enjoy playing and good shots will be rewarded. Excellent touch is required on the greens and there is always a better side to putt from.”

Washington will feature the same five-players in its lineup from both the Husky Invitational and Blessings Collegiate. The Husky lineup is as follows:

1. Petr Hruby
2. Taehoon Song
3. Teddy Lin
4. Bo Peng
5. Finn Koelle

“This is always a very strong tournament with a great field on an excellent golf course,” Murray said. “We have four guys playing that also played last year at this venue so they will know what to…
