Virginia Men's Golf | Hoos in Fourth Place After Second Round at GCG Collegiate

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Virginia shot 4-over 292 and dropped back two spots on the leaderboard to fourth place after the second round of the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate. UVA’s 36-hole total stands at 6-under 570. No. 11 East Tennessee State leads the 14-team field at 17-under 559 heading into Sunday’s final round.

Paul Chang continues to lead UVA in stroke play. He shot 1-over 73 and dropped back to sixth place at 4-under 140.

Bryan Lee had the 25th-ranked Cavaliers’ best round on Saturday by shooting 2-under 70. He is tied with Ben James for 21st place at 1-over 143. James shot 73 on Saturday.

Deven Patel and George Duangmanee are tied for 43rd place at 3-over 147. Patel posted a score of 76 while Duangmanee shot 5-over 77 during the second round.

Sunday’s final round gets underway at 8:30 a.m. UVA will be paired with Duke and Texas A&M and start from the first tee at 9:25 a.m.
