TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women’s golf team is set to close its fall season this weekend as they travel to Wilmington, N.C. to compete in the Landfall Tradition. The three-day, 54-hole tournament, hosted by UNCW, will take place at the Country Club of Landfall’s Pete Dye Course (par 72, 6,194-yards).
The Lineup
- The Tide’s starting lineup will feature Sarah Edwards, Taylor Kehoe, Elina Sinz, Kaitlyn Schroeder and Kynadie Adams
- Edwards, who has finished inside the top-20 in all three events of the fall season, leads the team in overall stroke average (70.78), average vs. par (-1.22) and rounds of par or better (7)
- In her first three tournaments with the Tide, Sinz has a pair of top-25 finishes including placing 23rd at the Mason Rudolph Championship
- Kehoe has the highest finish for an Alabama golfer this Fall, finishing in a tie for 4th at the Boilermaker Classic
- The trio of Edwards, Sinz and Kehoe are the only three UA golfers to have all of their rounds played count towards the team score in each event
- Kaitlyn Schroeder and Kynadie Adams, who makes her first lineup of the fall season, will round out the Tide’s startling lineup in the event, respectively
Tournament Preview
- The teams will compete in a stroke-play format, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT Friday morning
- In addition to Alabama, the 18-team field includes tournament host UNCW, Arizona, UCF, Duke, East Carolina, Furman, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue, Clemson, SMU, Tennessee and Virginia Tech
