No. 5 USC Women's Golf Opens Up at the T. Hession Regional Challenge One Day Sooner

LOS ANGELES – No. 5 USC women’s golf heads into the annual Therese Hession Regional Challenge hosted by Ohio State on Saturday, Feb. 3 through Tuesday, Feb. 6 in Palos Verdes, Calif. at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. The event was originally scheduled as a stroke play tournament style, but due to weather the tournament is slated for match play with two duals happening on day one followed by three rounds of scheduled stroke play. 
 
COMPETITIVE SLATE: #26 Arizona, #24 Arizona State, Baylor, #15 Clemson, #10 Florida, Georgetown, #25 Mississippi State, Ohio State, #7 Oregon, #20 Pepperdine, #19 San Jose State, #6 South Carolina, #8 Texas, #4 UCLA, #5 USC, #1 Wake Forest

WHERE: Palos Verdes Golf Club (Par 71, 6,017 yards).
 
WHEN: The four-day event will begin on Saturday, Feb. 3 with two match play duals and the final three rounds (Sunday, Feb. 4 – Tuesday, Feb. 6) will be stroke play.

Bailey Shoemaker

 

Heads into the first tournament of the spring season ranked as the No. 98 individual in the Spikemark rankings.

 

Amari Avery

 

Heads into the first tournament of the spring season ranked as the No. 27 individual in the Spikemark rankings. Claimed one win during the fall season (Leadership and Golf Invitational).

 

Christine Wang

 

Heads into the first tournament of the spring season ranked as the No. 138 individual in the Spikemark rankings.

 

Frances Kim

 

The freshman is making her second appearance in the starting lineup, as she played in the Stanford Intercollegiate in the fall portion of the season. Kim was tied for 46th in her first NCAA outing. 

Brianna Navarrosa 

Heads into the first tournament of the spring season ranked as the No. 83 individual in the Spikemark rankings.
