Virginia Men's Golf | Bryan Lee Named ACC Men’s Golfer of the Month

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia sophomore Bryan Lee (Fairfax, Va.) has been named the ACC’s Men’s Golfer of the Month for January/February. Lee picked up his first career victory when he tied for first place at the Puerto Rico Classic and was 22nd at the Watersound Collegiate during his two performances this spring.

Lee shot 15-under, 201 to share medalist honors in Puerto Rico. During his final round he shot 9-under 63, just one shot off the UVA single-round scoring record. Thanks in part to Lee’s play, Virginia was second at the Puerto Rico Classic and placed fourth at the Watersound Collegiate.

This season, Lee is second on the team with a 70.11 stroke average. He is ranked No. 39 in this week’s NCAA golf individual rankings. He has four top-10 finishes in six tournament appearances and has shot par-or-better in 14 of his 18 rounds.

Lee and the Cavaliers return to action March 9-11 at the John Hayt Invitational in Ponte Vedra, Fla. UVA is ranked No. 14 in this week’s NCAA rankings.
