Silicon Valley Showcase Up Next for Women’s Golf


PULLMAN, Wash. (March 10, 2024) – The Washington State women’s golf team is set to play at the Silicon Valley Showcase in Millbrae, Calif. on March 11-12.
 
The Course and Tournament Format
The 2024 Silicon Valley Showcase will be held at the Green Hills Country Club. The course will play as a par-71 at 6,061 yards.
 
Teams will play 36 holes on Monday, March 11 with an 8:30 a.m. PT shotgun start followed by another 18 holes on Tuesday, March 12, also starting at 8:30 a.m.

The Field
In addition to Washington State and host Santa Clara, Pepperdine, UCLA, San Francisco, UC Davis, UC Irvine, Long Beach State, San Jose State and Wyoming will also make up the 10-team field.

Last Time Out

In what ended up only being a two-round tournament due to the event being cut short due to weather, Madelyn Gamble finished with a two-round score of 2-under, 142 to lead Washington State at the 2024 Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invite, played at the par-72, 6,157-yard Meadow Club Golf Course. The Cougars finished the tournament at 18-over, 594, and in 12th place. Stanford captured the team title followed by Washington and Southern California.

Head Coach Sofie Aagaard is in her second season leading the Cougars. The 2023-24 Cougar squad returns four members from the 2022-23 squad, including junior Madelyn Gamble, who ended last season with a third-place finish at the 2023 Pac-12 Golf Championships.
