Women's Golf in Fifth After Day One at MountainView Collegiate

The Missouri women’s golf team opened play at the Mountainview Collegiate on Friday with Addie Dobson leading the way for the Tigers.

In a field that features seven top-50 schools in the nation, Dobson posted a two-under 70, her career-low 18 in a tournament. The sophomore carded a very clean front nine with an eagle on hole eight and three birdies during the session. Overall, Dobson sits tied for SIXTH through the first round.

Fresh off her first collegiate title, freshman Fleur van Beek is just one shot behind her teammate with a 71 (-1) on the day to secure a spot in the top 10. Her fourth-straight round under par has her tied for ninth. Emily Staples (74), Ffion Tynan (75) and Melanie Walker (76) round out the team score.

Missouri sits in fifth at 290 going into the second round.

Day two begins at 9:45 a.m. CT with tee times on Saturday morning for Mizzou.
