Holden Finishes Eighth at MountainView Collegiate

TUSCON, Ariz. — Tennessee senior Kayla Holden shot a 1-under (71) on day three of the MountainView Collegiate to record her third consecutive top-10 finish, tying for eighth place. 

As a team, the Lady Vols improved their score each round and placed sixth at 2-over (866).

On a shotgun start Sunday morning at The Preserve Golf Club, Holden birdied two of her first four holes. The Port St. Lucie, Florida, native bounced back from three bogeys in the middle of the round to add two more birdies and finish 1-under on the day and 4-under (212) overall.

Competing as an individual, freshman Martina Lopez-Lanchares recorded three rounds of par or better, including a round-two 3-under (69), to tie for 13th place at 3-under (213). It marks the second straight tournament in which she led all individuals in scoring.

Sophomore Manassanan Chotikabhukkana shot 3-under (141) over the final two rounds to move up to 15th place, her highest finish of the spring season thus far. Angela Arora birdied two of her final five holes to finish tied for 40th at 5-over (221).

Vanessa Gilly shot 9-over (225) and tied for 54th; Bailey Davis finished one stroke behind her in 57th place after a round-three 1-under (71).
