PGA Golfers
Tyson Alexander (Cut), Billy Horschel (Cut) and Camillo Villegas (Cut) continued their season on the PGA Tour in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Horschel and Alexander both finished +1 on the weekend with the tandem shooting 71’s on Thursday and 74’s on Friday.
Horschel’s round one was categorized by the number 15. The 15 year pro started off the tournament hot, shooting 15 pars in round one (T-2) and also hitting 77.78% of greens in regulation, good for 15th among the field.

Horschel and Alexander sit at No. 100 and No. 130 respectively in the FedEx Cup rankings.
What’s Next
The PGA Tour stays in Florida this weekend, with six Gators traveling to complete in the Valspar Championship. Tyson Alexander (12:45 p.m.), Fred Biondi (9:41 a.m.), Ricky Castillo (9:19 a.m.), Billy Horschel (1:45 p.m.), Alejandro Tosti (2:51 p.m.) and Camillo Villegas (8:41 a.m.) will all tee off at Innisbrook Resort’s Copper Head Course.

The Korn Ferry Tour is off for another two weeks. Look for former Gators to suit up April 4 in the Club Car Championship in Savannah Ga.
The Tour Champion returns for the Hoag Classic in Newport Beach CA. Former Gators Mark Calcavecchia, Chris DiMarco and Brian Gay will be teeing off. Scott Dunlap will also be an alternate for the weekend.
Tour of the Americas starts this weekend at the Bupa Championship at Tulum with 2023 National Champion Yuxin Lin (8:01 a.m.) makes his first start on the tour. Lin qualified for the Americas Tour after finishing top-20 in the PGA Tour U rankings last season. The event takes place at PGA Riviera Mya.
Florida Gators Men’s Golf has the weekend off after defeating the field at the Schenkel Invitational this past weekend. Florida will travel to the Calusa Cup (April 7-9) in Naples, Fla. at Calusa Pines Golf Club.
