Virginia Athletics | Hoos in Ninth Place After 36 Holes at UGA

ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 22 Virginia women’s golf team is in ninth place after the opening two rounds of play at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga. The Cavaliers posted scores of 298 and 295 to finish Friday at 17-over 593.  Auburn leads the field at 3-under 573.

A trio of Cavaliers are tied for 18th place after the first two rounds. Rebecca Skoler, Megan Propeck and Jaclyn LaHa all ended the day at 3-over 147. Skoler had rounds of 77 and 70, Propeck posted scores of 74 and 73 and LaHa carded rounds of 72 and 75.

Amanda Sambach is in 51st place at 152 after shooting 75 and 77. Maline Kraus rounded out UVA’s scoring with rounds of 77 and 82. She is in 74th position at 159.

Celeste Valinho, competing as an individual, is in 26th place at 148. She shot 75 and 73.
