Women's Golf Players in the Pros Update: April 12


DURHAM — As the professional goal seasons enter April, Duke women’s golfers continue to shine on the biggest stage. Here is a breakdown of how the Blue Devils are performing early in 2024 —

LPGA

 

Laetitia Beck

Duke (2010-14)

All-America (2012-13, 2013-14)

ACC Rookie of the Year (2010-11)

All-ACC (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014)

 

Although Beck has missed the cut in her first four tournaments, she has been just right there at the cut line and is improving each tournament she plays in.  Over the last three second rounds, Beck has shot 69, 71 and 67.  Most recently, she played in the Ford Championship and posted scores of 71 and 69 for a 4-under, 140.  Beck has earned a career total of $300,584.

Jaravee Boonchant

Duke (2018-21)

All-America (2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21)

All-ACC (2018, 2019, 2021)

In her second year on the LPGA circuit, Boonchant has had a strong showing in 2024. In the Honda LPGA Thailand Tournament, she finished 15-under-par, which would be good for a tied for ninth finish.  She posted rounds of 68, 67, 71 and 67 over the four days.  Boonchant would then go on to compete in the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship and the Ford Championship in March 2024. In the Fir Hills Seri Pak, Boonchant shot four rounds with an average score of 73, bringing her to 8-over-par. Her performance would allow her to finish tied for 60th and add $5,005 to her career earnings. In the Ford Championship, Boonchant played well shooting 3-under-par, before missing the cut. In LPGA tournaments in 2024, Boonchant has gained an additional $39,105 through three tournaments.

Celine Boutier

After an impressive season in 2023, Celine Boutier has continued her stellar play to open 2024. The France native has placed in all six tournaments that she has participated in. Boutier owns three top-20 finishes over six events.  In February, Boutier played in the HSBC Women’s World Championship. Her 12-under-par performance was dominant, guiding her to a second-place finish. She would earn $169,786 from this tournament alone. More solid play was in store for Boutier as she finished 11-under-par in the Ford Championship…
