MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin women’s golf is on the road to Havre de Grace, Maryland, for the 2024 Big Ten Women’s Golf Championships hosted by Bulle Rock Golf Course from Friday, April 19, to Sunday, April 21. The Badgers will play a total of 54 holes over the three days for a chance to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship.
Here are five things to know before the Badgers tee off:
1. Last Time Out: The Badgers picked up a fifth-place finish at the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational after shooting a 29-over 893 (298-296-299) to close the Badgers’ regular tournament season. Chloe Chan led the Badgers as the junior finished tied for 11th place at six-over par (74-74-74=222). Carly Carter followed closely behind, tying for 14th at seven-over par (76-74-73=223). Wisconsin also paced six of the Big Ten Schools competing in the Invitational, while Ohio State finished first among the 12-team field with a seven-under 857.
2. The Course: Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Maryland, will be the host of the 2024 Big Ten Women’s Golf Championship. Bulle Rock, a par-72 Pete Dye design located within the Chesapeake Bay, will be played at 6,314 yards for the Championship. The course is ranked the top public golf course in the state of Maryland according to Golfweek, and is known for its challenging, yet fair layout.
3. The Tournament: The Championship will be held from Friday, April 19, to Sunday, April 21, with 18 holes being played on each day. Tee times will begin at 7:30 a.m. CT on Friday and Saturday, and 7:00 a.m. CT on Sunday.
4. The Field: Teams competing in the invitational include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers and Wisconsin. In the lineup for the Badgers is Chloe Chan, Vanessa Ho, Carly Carter, Kate Brody, Alexia Siehl and Ava Salay.
