PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington senior Camille Boyd surged up the leaderboard during the second round of the 2024 Pac-12 Championships, carding a 4-under 68 to move up 17 spots to a tie for 13th place, with 18 holes yet to play.
 
As a team, the Huskies posted a team score of 4-under 284, cutting 18 strokes off of their first-round total. Through the two rounds, UW is 10-over for the tournament, which wraps up tomorrow at Palouse Ridge Golf Club, with the third and final round.
 
Boyd, who posted a 4-over 76 in Sunday’s first round, shaved eight strokes off of her total on Monday. Her scorecard included five birdies (including on both her first and last hole of the day), and just one birdie.
 
Jamie Hsieh, whose opening-round 74 was the Huskies’ low score for the first round, turned in a 1-under 71 on Monday, with three birdies and two bogies. She is tied for 21st place through 36 holes.
 
Vivian Lu was also under-par for the day, with a 1-under 71. Lu overcame two bogies and a double with five birdies. Through two rounds, she is 2-over, tying her for 28th.
 
Senior Stefanie Deng also improved from round one to two. After a 77 in the opening 18 holes, she carded a 2-over 74 on Monday. At 7-over, she’s tied for 38th.
 
Freshman Mads Smith was added as a substitute for the second round. Her 3-over total of 75 included three birdies.
 
The third round gets underway Tuesday morning, with UW’s golfers teeing off beginning at 9:20 a.m. Also tomorrow morning, a recap of the second round will air on Pac-12 Network at 10:00 a.m.
