Li, McMyler Receive All-ACC Accolades

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Duke women’s golf duo of graduate student Emma McMyler and freshman Katie Li have been tabbed two of 15 All-ACC selections for the 2023-24 campaign, which was announced Thursday by the league office. 
 
McMyler, who is ranked No. 50 nationally, earned All-ACC accolades as a graduate student with the Blue Devils this season.  She led Duke with a 71.67 stroke average to go along with two top-10 and four top-20 finishes.  A native of San Antonio, Texas, McMyler owns a team-high 15 rounds of even or under par and has counted all 24 rounds in 2023-24. 
 
In the fall, McMyler posted a top-five finish at the Windy City Collegiate with scores of 72, 69 and 67 for a 7-under, 208.  She also added a tied for ninth placement at the Florida State Match Up with rounds of 72, 68 and 72 for a 4-over, 212.  McMyler is coming off turning in a tied for 17th finish at the ACC Championship.  Over her four years at Duke and Xavier, McMyler was a four-time All-Conference honoree and three-time BIG EAST Golfer of the Year. 
 
A native of Basking Ridge, N.J., Li is ranked No. 72 nationally and the second-highest ranked freshman in the ACC.  She has posted two top-20 finishes along with collecting a victory at the Florida State Match Up.  Li is the only freshman in the ACC to win a tournament and one of only six freshmen in the top-72 of the national rankings to win an event.  Her stroke average of 72.67 ranks as the seventh-best single-season stroke average for a rookie at Duke and she also ranks tied for ninth on the Blue Devil freshman record charts with 13 rounds of even or under par. 
 
Li turned in one of the most impressive performances by a Duke rookie at the Florida State Match Up as she carded rounds of 66, 66 and 72 for a 12-under, 204, to win the event.  Her 12-under score of 132 over the first 36 holes was a school record, while becoming the first Duke freshman to post back-to-back rounds of 66.  Her 204 was tied for the third-lowest 54-hole score in Duke history on a par-72 course and is one of just 16 Blue Devil rookies to win a tournament.
