Davis in First, Lady Vols in Fifth Heading into Final Day of NCAA Regionals

BERMUDA RUN, N.C. – Tennessee women’s golfer Bailey Davis sits atop the leaderboard after day two at the Bermuda Run NCAA Regional, posting a 2-under (70) to move to 10-under (134) on the tournament.

As a team, Tennessee is in fifth place, three strokes above the current cut to advance to the NCAA Championship. They shot 6-over (294) as a team and are 4-under (572) through 36 holes at Bermuda Run Golf Course.

For the second straight day, the junior Davis birdied holes nine and 10 to sit comfortably in first place. Wake Forest’s Rachel Kuehn would tie with Davis after the 17th hole, but Davis finished the round alone in first. In addition to breaking the program record for lowest round at an NCAA event, she now holds the lowest 36-hole score (-10) at any NCAA competition.

Senior Kayla Holden turned in another steady round, logging 15 pars en route to a 1-over (73). She is currently tied for 14th at 2-under (142).
