Bushnell Tour V6 Shift Rangefinder testing

Arguably, the most accurate way of getting a yardage when out on the golf course is via a rangefinder, and now, at PGA TOUR Superstore, you can grab one of our most highly rated with $50 off!

When it comes to the best golf rangefinders, Bushnell are top of the tree, with the brand creating premium model after premium model. If you take a look at the best Bushnell rangefinders, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a product which receives less than 4.5 stars out of 5…

Why do we like the Tour V6 Shift so much? Well, to begin with the display is clear and brighter than some of the best models on the market, whilst the overall weight of it means you can keep sturdy and still even in windy conditions. Also, if the rain is falling down, it has IPX6 protection that shields it from the elements.

Aesthetically, we loved the grey and white colorway, with the flashes of orange only adding to its premium and modern look. Where the model really stood out, though, is with the amount of technology and features the Tour V6 possesses.

Not only has it got the basics on-lock, such as jolt vibration and a flashing red ring that provides an extra layer of reassurance should you need it, but the updated PinSeeker algorithm is excellent for accuracy. Also, one last point, is that when used with the Bushnell’s GPS app, you can access 3D hole maps and flyovers as well as scoring functionality, an extremely useful feature when playing a new golf course.

When we tested the Tour V6 Shift, the accuracy and consistency were the highlights and, with Slope Functionality enabled, it still managed to calculate the yardages precisely, but it’s worth mentioning that this must be switched off for tournament play.

Thankfully, this process is extremely easy, as all you need to do is use the toggle on the side to switch the Slope Functionality on and off. Not only is this, then, one of the best rangefinders money can buy, but also one of the best golf rangefinders with slope.
