STANFORD, Calif. – Sun Devil Women’s Golf opened up the 2025 Stanford Intercollegiate on Friday.
Hosted at Stanford Golf Course, the tournament opened with several strong team performances across the field. Arizona State posted a 286 (+2) in the first round, placing them in a tie for fifth alongside Colorado in the 19-team field. Stanford holds the early lead after an impressive start, followed by Oregon, Arizona, and UCLA, rounding out the top five teams after day one.
Arizona State was led by consistent play across the lineup, with Patience Rhodes and Paula Schulz-Hanssen each carding rounds of 71 (E). Rhodes picked up her lone birdie on hole six, while Schulz-Hanssen notched two on holes six and 15 to help pace the team. Kate Dillon and Isla McDonald-O’Brien both turned in a 72 (+1), highlighted by an early birdie from Dillon on the opening par-5. Beth Coulter added a 73 (+2), giving the Sun Devils strong depth through the first round.

Arizona State will begin the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate on Saturday at 12:40 p.m. MST. A new golfer will start their round every 11 minutes on Hole 10. For the second straight day, ASU will be paired with Pepperdine and LSU.
