Arizona Men’s Golf closed out the Cabo Collegiate with a strong final round, finishing at 2-under as a team and securing a sixth place finish.
The Wildcats were led by runner-up William Wistrand, who delivered the low round of the day for Arizona with a 5-under performance to finish the tournament at 8-under overall. The best finish of his career as the freshman competed against an elite field of players.
Zach Pollo added a steady 69, finishing the event at even par and tied for 21st. Filip Jakubcik posted a 1-over par final round to conclude the tournament at 3-over overall and tied for 35th. Rounding out the lineup, Tianyi Xiong finished his day at 3-over, while Taishi Moto battled through his final round to complete the tournament at 8-over par.
The Cats will be back in action next Monday, March 9th for the Desimone Invitational.
