Driver
Titleist TS3

For many years he had Titleist’s 917 driver in the bag but he now has the TS3 driver. A very popular driver, the TS3 has a classic pear shape and a multitude of fitting options thanks to the SureFit CG on the sole and the neck adjustability. It feels very powerful at impact and is suited to the better player.
Fairways

Simpson had been using the TaylorMade M4 fairway but it appears he has since put a Titleist TS2 model in the bag with 15 degrees of loft. His 5-wood is the Titleist 913Fd. The Fd version features a weight further forward for a more penetrating, low-spinning ball flight. Interestingly, Simpson carries two fairway woods and two hybrids (one with a steel shaft), with a six-iron being the longest iron in his bag.
Hybrids

Simpson then has a 913Hd hybrid in 20 degrees and a 915Hd in 23.5 degrees of loft. The former has a Graphite Design shaft whilst the latter is interestingly fitted with a Dynamic Gold steel shaft. Speaking in 2020 to Golf.com (opens in new tab), Simpson said of his hybrids; “Unless you’re a scratch handicap or better and have really high spin rates and hit it high, you need a 3-iron hybrid and you need a 4-iron hybrid. The hybrids, in my opinion, are way easier to hit up in the air, and that’s what I was seeing with my 4-iron of my regular set.”
