AUGUSTA, Ga. – The teams tried to complete the Valspar Augusta Invitational on Sunday in Augusta, Ga., but the weather would not cooperate and the final round was cancelled due to inclement weather at the 6,244-yard, par 72 Forest Hills Golf Club.
Duke placed eighth overall with junior Phoebe Brinker totaling a tied for ninth placement with a 2-under, 142. She turned in two rounds of 71.
How It Happened
• Senior Erica Shepherd finished with rounds 74 and 72 for a 2-over-par, 146, which was tied for 22nd overall.
• Both Rylie Heflin and Anne Chen turned in identical scores of 74 and 76 and finished tied for 44th overall.
• Freshman Andie Smith turned in rounds of 77 and 76 for a 36-hole score of 153, which was tied for 57th.
• As a team, Duke was eighth overall with rounds of 293 and 295 for a 588. Wake Forest won the team title with a 563.
• Rachel Kuehn of Wake Forest won medalist honors with a 10-under, 134.
Notes
• Phoebe Brinker carded her fourth top-10 finish of the season and ninth of her career.

As a team, Duke will next compete in the Wolfpack Match Play April 3-4 in Raleigh, N.C., while Erica Shepherd, Anne Chen and Phoebe Brinker will compete in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA) from March 29 through April 1 in Augusta, Ga.
