Parker Paces Tigers on Day One of Regionals


Norman, Okla. – The University of Missouri men’s golf team rounded out the first day of the 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Regional event in 8th place with a 6-over 294 team score. The Tigers were led by veteran Jack Parker who fired a 1-under 71 on the day.

Parker went bogey-free in his last 12 holes, featuring two birdies, one of which was on his final hole, along with 10 consecutive pars. He ended the day slotted tied in 18th place.

Two strokes behind was senior Tommy Boone who showed strong consistency, finishing out his first round with a 1-over 73 anchored by 15 pars. He currently stands at T-30 on the leaderboard.

Both sophomore Jack Lundin and junior Charlie Crockett share a piece of 45th place after carding 3-over 75s. Crockett presented a strong finish going even-par on the back-nine. Junior YuTa Tsai rounds out the Tigers with a 4-over 76, entering tomorrow tied for 53rd place.

Mizzou’s tee times begin tomorrow starting at 8:55 a.m. CST as they’ll be paired with San Diego State and Utah.
