Vanderbilt Women's Golf | Celina Sattelkau Competes for Germany at World Amateur Team Championship

PARIS — Vanderbilt senior Celina Sattelkau recently completed her run with Team Germany at the World Amateur Team Championship and helped her side to a third-place finish.

Competing at Le Golf National (Albatros Course) and Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Breteche (Red Course) near Paris, France, the event featured the world’s leading amateurs. Sattelkau and Germany went 12-under par as a team through four rounds and finished one stroke behind both the United States and Sweden.

Sattelkau was one of three Germans chosen to represent her country at the event.

The World Amateur Team Championships are a biennial international amateur golf competition conducted by the International Golf Federation which comprises 151 national governing bodies of golf in 146 countries and 22 international professional tours and organizations conducting major championships.

The IGF is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the international federation for golf. In addition to the World Amateur Team Championships, the IGF also organizes the golf competitions at the Olympic Games and the Youth Olympic Games.
