Big Ten Golfers to Watch — Sophomore Hunter Thomson and juniors Will Anderson and Jude Kim were named Michigan’s Big Ten Preseason Golfers to Watch. The Wolverines were led by their young core of Thomson and Anderson last season.
Thomson burst onto the scene, leading U-M in scoring (73.09) in his first year, while Anderson was just behind at 73.40 per round. They combined to pace the Wolverines in eight of 11 events highlighted by Anderson’s win at the Macdonald Cup and Thomson’s runner-up finish at Desert Mountain.
After playing in two events as a freshman, Kim started three of his six events a year ago and posted a 75.00 scoring average, including shooting a career-low 67 (-3) in the second round of the Macdonald Cup — one of three sub-par rounds on the season. » Big Ten Release
