TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama golfer Kynadie Adams has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Thursday.
Adams led the Tide with her first career top-five finish, closing the event with a two-day, 54-hole total of 11-under par 205 (68-69-68), tying for fourth overall. With three consecutive rounds in the 60s, she became the first UA golfer to record sub-70 scores in the same tournament since Benedetta Moresco at The Ally.
- Tied for fourth overall at the Illini Women’s Golf Invitational at Medinah.
- Carded three consecutive rounds in the 60s and finished the event with an 11-under par 205 (68-69-68).
- Led the entire field with 20 birdies across the 54 holes played.
- Her final round of 4-under par 68 Tuesday marked the lowest for any UA golfer on the day.
