Available as a 2-iron, 3-iron or 4-iron replacement, the iCrossover still features hollow-boded construction. The chassis is cast from 17-4 stainless steel and the maraging steel face, machined to be perfectly flat, is plasma-welded onto the head by robots. The hitting area flexes more efficiently from the lower area, which helps create more ball speed and encourages a higher launch and a steeper angle of descent into greens.

Ping added a tungsten weight in the heel area and a tungsten weight screw in the toe to increase stability on mis-hits.

Ping also used an EVA polymer on the back of the face to make impact feel softer. The rubber-like material soaks up vibrations when the face strikes the ball but does not inhibit the hitting area from flexing or reduce ball speed.
