EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern men’s golf starts its spring season at the 2023 Big Ten Match Play Championship at the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Fla.
The Wildcats are the top ranked seed in the tournament and will take on No. 9 Maryland in the opening session on Friday afternoon at noon CT. The semifinals are set for Saturday morning, while the championship round will take place on Sunday.
Hammock Beach Resort was listed on Golf Digest’s Best Golf Resorts of 2022 and is considered the most-challenging course in Florida.
Northwestern enjoyed a successful fall campaign, securing second-place finishes at the Cal Poly Invitational and Marquette Intercollegiate and claiming the Windon Memorial title by nine strokes. Senior David Nyfjall also finished individual runner-up in the Marquette Intercollegiate.
