Women's Golf Central: Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club


GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Tennessee’s women’s golf team returns to action this week, competing in the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club in Guadalajara, Mexico, to kick off its first tournament of the spring. 

The 12-team field will complete three rounds in two days, with 27 holes played on Sunday, followed by 27 holes on Monday.

LADY VOLS’ LINEUP

Bailey Davis

In the fall, Davis led the team in stroke average (72.13). The sophomore had a record-breaking performance at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate, making eight birdies in the second round to post a 63, the lowest single-round score in tournament history. Davis secured the first top-five finish (T2) of her career, shooting a three-day total 10-under. 

Angela Arora

Arora, a freshman, who signed with the Lady Vols in November, is a new addition to the squad this spring. In 2022, the British Columbia native recorded a first-place finish at the NextGen Pacific Championship and was runner-up at the PNGA Women’s Amateur Championship.

Kayla Holden

Recording a 73.13 stroke average, Holden competed in all five fall tournaments. The junior’s best performance came from a top-25 finish (T23) at the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah in October, where she shot -4 overall.

Manassanan Chotikabhukkana

Chotikabhukkana is coming off a stellar fall debut with the Lady Vols. Appearing in all five tournaments, the freshman led the team in rounds of par or better (7) and notched two top-25 finishes. Her best performance of the fall was at the Landfall Tradition in late October, where she shot -2 overall to finish tied for 13th place.

Vanessa Gilly

Rounding out the lineup is Gilly, who totaled a 72.67 stroke average in the fall and recorded two top-25 finishes. The junior notched the second-best finish of her Tennessee career at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational in October, where she shot +1 to tie for 12th place.
