The Johnnie-O at Sea Island Live Scoring
ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The Penn State men’s golf team continues its busy Spring Break week with a pair of competitions at the Sea Island Golf Club. The Nittany Lions will compete in the Sea Island Shootout Saturday before participating in The Johnnie-O at Sea Island Monday and Tuesday.
Saturday’s Sea Island Shootout will be played at the Sea Island Golf Club’s Plantation Course. Penn State will face off against Rutgers and Minnesota Saturday, with each team playing six players and counting the five best scores over 18 holes of stroke play.
Monday and Tuesday’s Johnnie-O is set for the par-70, 7,005-yard Seaside Course.
The Nittany Lions started their Spring Break trip with a strong showing at the Colleton River Collegiate. Penn State finished fifth in the strong team field at 24-under, 840. Junior James Allen finished tied for eighth, while freshman Billy Pabst Jr. placed tied for 13th to lead the Nittany Lions.
